Hey, just what everybody has been clamoring for, one more toolbar! It's not like there
aren't enough of these floating around out there but this one has some features that I
really liked. I have wanted to create one of these for quite a while but I couldn't find one
that had features that were worth the effort. This one not only has great features but it
also has some great options. Listed below are some of the features that you will find on
the Free Chrsitian Content.org toolbar.

E-Mail Notifier: Do you have Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or a Pop3 address? You can set up this option to notify you when you have new mail in one or more of these accounts.
Pop-up Blocker: That also clears your browsers, cache, history and cookies.
Weather Forcast: Shows the current temp on the toolbar. Click on it for a 3 forecast with links for extended forecasts.
Add or Remove Predefined Componenets: If you don't want to use some of the default components, simply turn them off.
Add Windows Components: Add any of the windows components that you own to the toolbar. (Calculator, Word, Excel, Outlook, Notepad, PowerPoint, WMP, etc.)
Search Bar: Search the web or Free Christian Content.org. Also, search forums, blogs, dictionary, encyclopedia, images, news.
RSS Feeds: You don't know anything about RSS feeds? No problem. Click on an item of interest and the toolbar takes care of the rest! There are 28 Christian RSS feeds that I have loaded into the menu.
Christian Radio: There is a Christian Radio with over 30 preloaded stations. If you like Christian Talk, the great station WNIV-Atlanta is what you are looking for. Contemporary? KTIS-St. Paul. Want to add your own stations? Go ahead, it's easy to do. You can also add podcasts to the radio.

CHRYSLER CANCELS ADS ON CRUDE TV SHOW

Chrysler has cancelled advertising on Family Guy after receiving large numbers of e-mails from
consumers. Florida Family Association spokesman David Caton points out that the show
consistently mocks, denigrates, and belittles the Christian faith, Jesus, and the born-again
experience.

Petition Opposing Government-Run, Socialized Health Care

This “ObamaCare” healthcare plan imposes at least $1.5 trillion in new taxes and forces Americans
to “hand over” their health care decisions to politicians and bureaucrats. This nationalization of our
health care system will cripple businesses and cause a massive increase in government control over
our lives. For more on how the so-called “Public Option” is really a “Government Co-option” of
healthcare, go here

AROUND THE WORLD
OBAMA PLAN: TEMPLE MOUNT UNDER ARAB-MUSLIM SOVEREIGNTY: The Middle East peace plan that United States President Barack Obama will unveil soon involves the creation of a Palestinian Authority state by 2011 and the transfer of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem [presumably including the Temple Mount – ed.] to Arab-Muslim sovereignty.

SCHOOLS
BIBLES IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS? HOW YOU CAN HELP: For the eighth year in a row, Revival Fires International is organizing the "Truth for Youth" Bible project. One free Truth for Youth Bible will be given to every teenager who promises to give it to an unsaved friend in school. Parents can also order the Bible on behalf of their son or daughter.

COURT ORDERS CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOLED GIRL TO ATTEND PUBLIC SCHOOL: ...."the court went too far when they determined that the girl's Christian faith was a "bit too sincerely held and must be sifted, tested by, and mixed among other worldviews."

THE LAW
COURT ALLOWS RELIGIOUS DISPLAYS IN STORE OFFERING POSTAL SERVICE: A federal appeals court has reversed a federal judge's order that religious displays be removed from a Christian store that offers postal services in Manchester, Connecticut.

ELDERLY SHUT-INS FIGHT FOR RELIGIOUS CARE: Weller's group also directed HUD to another federal law. "And that statute says that if someone is institutionalized, then it's a requirement of the law that they provide for their spiritual well-being," she concludes.

EVANGELIST REGAINS FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS: "On four separate occasions, two police officers essentially came up to him and ordered him to move, ordered him to stop speaking because he was annoying people," he recalls.

JUDGE CLEARS FLORIDA SCHOOL CLERK IN PRAYER CASE: "Prayer is neither contemptuous nor criminal," he added. "It is outrageous that the ACLU sought civil contempt charges against an outstanding woman whose husband prayed a beautiful prayer at a privately sponsored event held off campus. The ACLU needs to take a good dose of the First Amendment and call us in the morning.”

ABORTION
ABORTION 'EXPLICITLY' COVERED UNDER OBAMACARE:"As the bill was amended by the House Energy and Commerce Committee on July 30, it includes something called the Capps amendment which was put in by the pro-abortion side. And it explicitly authorizes the government plan to cover all elective abortions -- explicitly."
HOUSE BILL AUTHORIZES COVERAGE OF "ALL ABORTIONS" UNDER OBAMACARE: The House bill would mandate the establishment of at least one insurance plan that covers elective abortions in every regional health-care "exchange" for federally-subsidized plans. Who's "bearing false witness" about the health-care bill again?

HARRY REID'S 'CHANGE OF HEART' ON PRO-LIFE ISSUE: "Senator Reid has now had a change of heart. And when we look at this so-called healthcare reform, his support of that is just stunning because it would result in the largest expansion of government-backed abortion -- translate: our tax dollars paying for abortion -- since Roe v. Wade. So this is huge," she contends.

SOUTH DAKOTA PRO-LIFERS REJOICE OVER COURT RULING: Women seeking abortions in South Dakota must now be told that abortion ends a human life.

ABORTION, BREAST CANCER LINK CONFIRMED AGAIN: There are now 75 to 80 studies that have been completed over five decades. Malec says about 80 percent of them are reporting cancer risk increases for women who have abortions. ....numerous attempts by the federal government's National Cancer Institute to suppress the findings.

POLITICS
OOPS! CHARLIE FORGOT THIS $1M HOUSE: Rep. Charles Rangel failed to report as much as $1.3 million in outside income -- including up to $1 million for a Harlem building sale -- on financial-disclosure forms he filed between 2002 and 2006, according to newly amended records.

PUSH FOR KENNEDY SUCCESSOR STIRS POLITICAL STORM: ....Democrats who only five years ago passed a law requiring that voters decide on Senate vacancies.

ABC, NBC WON'T AIR AD CRITICAL OF OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE PLAN: "It's the ultimate act of chutzpah because ABC is the network that turned itself over completely to Obama for a daylong propaganda fest about health care reform," he said. "For them to be pious and say they will not accept advertising on health care shuts their viewers out from any possible understanding of both sides of this issue."

BILL WOULD GIVE PRESIDENT EMERGENCY CONTROL OF INTERNET: The new version would allow the president to "declare a cybersecurity emergency" relating to "non-governmental" computer networks and do what's necessary to respond to the threat.

OBAMA 'STIMULUS' PLAYS FAVORITES WITH EARMARKS: Obama administration to award $15 million in federal stimulus money to a Montana checkpoint along the Canadian border that serves only three people a day.

BIBLE VERSES
Judgment

15 For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger
with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire. 16 For by fire will Jehovah execute judgment, and by his
sword, upon all flesh; and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.

Isaiah 66:15-16 (ASV)

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's
eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Matt 7:1-3 (ASV)

35 The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure
bringeth forth evil things. 36 And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give
account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt
be condemned.
Matt 12:35-37 (ASV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not
perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world
should be saved through him. 18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged
already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment,
that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.
John 3:16-19 (ASV)

FINISH THE RACE

"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."
1 Cor 16:13 KJV

At the Olympics in Mexico City, a runner received a standing ovation from the audience-for finishing last!

While running, he fell and severely damaged his knee. Bleeding and bearing much pain, he stumbled
toward the finish line.

"Why didn't you quit?" he was asked.

"My country didn't send me seven thousand miles to start the race," he answered. "They sent me seven
thousand miles to finish the race."

Let the trying time be the trusting time, the painful time, the prevailing time. Tomorrow comes the applause.

The Bible says, "Stand true to what you believe.” “Be courageous.” “Be strong."

Prayer: “Help me, heavenly Father, to be bold and strong; to banish fear and doubt.” Inspire me through
the reading of Thy word with faith that is strong and steadfast: in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.”
Amen.

NO PASTOR

The banquet was about to begin when the master of ceremonies was
informed that the clergyman invited to give the blessing was unable to
attend.

He asked the main speaker if he would oblige, and the man agreed.

He began,"There being no clergyman present, let us thank God."

The Choice is Clear ... or Is It?
DB Reading:
Jeremiah 40:7-16; 41; 42; 43; 44; 51:64b

The Israelites requested Jeremiah to ask God for direction, and promised to obey everything the Lord said to
do, "whether it is favorable or unfavorable" (Jer 42:6). Yet, when God's answer wasn't what they had hoped
for, they called Jeremiah a liar and did what they wanted to anyway.

God made their options clear. They could experience God's presence, protection, compassion, restoration, and
rebuilding if they stayed in Judah, or they could suffer reproach and death by the sword, famine and plague if
they went to Egypt. Hmm. Tough choice! Yet, in their minds, they saw the choice as: death or torture by the
murderous Babylonians if they stayed in Judah, versus prosperity and peace if they escaped to their friendly
allies in Egypt. They had asked for God's direction, but when his answer differed from their plans and seemed
to make no sense from their point of view, they were unwilling to believe and accept what he had to say. Once
again, they rejected God. Once again, God shook his head in despair and asked, "Why bring such great disaster
on yourselves...? Why provoke me to anger...?" (Jer 44:7-8).

The Israelites' response seems foolish, yet I have responded similarly when God's answers have fallen short of
my hopes and expectations ...when his plans and purposes have escaped my understanding. I have found it
hard to believe that the path which seems most difficult and fearful could lead to restoration and rebuilding, while
the seemingly obvious path to peace and prosperity could actually lead to destruction. Instead of facing a hard
situation in which I am promised God's presence, protection and compassion, I have rejected God's plan as too
scary, too risky, or too painful. I have asked God, "Why?" All the while, God has been asking the same question
of me: "Why?" "Why won't you trust me? ...Why won't you follow me? ...Why won't you love me?"

Lord, when your will for me leads me down fearful paths, help me to trust in you, realizing that my perspective is
limited. Give me the courage to follow your will. Let me feel your presence and recognize your protection and
compassion as I walk in your truths. When I don't see the good in what you are doing, help me to see the good
in you. When I don't understand, help me to rest in the knowledge that you understand. Rebuild and restore me
as I yield to your will.

TO THE ALTAR

There is a minister who conducts an expanded altar call at the end of his sermon. He asks those
who wish to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, as well as those with prayers
or other requests, to come forward.

To the surprise and delight of the congregation his three-year-old daughter, without a word to
her mother, got up and made her way forward. She waited patiently while the others ahead of
her made a request.

When her turn came, her father leaned down to ask for her request. She whispered, "Can we go
to the restaurant after church?"

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Roger came to Sunday School late. His teacher knew that he
was usually very prompt and asked him if anything was wrong.

The boy replied no, nothing was wrong, that he was going
fishing but his dad told him that he needed to go to church.

The teacher was very impressed and asked Roger if his dad
had explained to him why it was more important to go to
church than to go fishing.

"Yes he did. Dad said he didn't have enough bait for both of us."

BEATITUDES FOR PARENTS
By Marion E. Kinneman (1895-1985)

Blessed are those parents who make their peace with spilled milk and mud, for of such is the
kingdom of childhood.

Blessed is the parent who engages not in the comparison of his child with others, for precious
unto each is the rhythm of his own growth.

Blessed are the fathers and mothers who have learned laughter, for it is the music of the child's
world.

Blessed and wise are those parents who understand the goodness of time, for they make it not
a sword that kills growth but a shield to protect.

Blessed and mature are they who without anger can say "no," for comforting to the child is the
security of firm decisions.

Blessed is the gift of consistency, for it is heart's-ease in childhood.

Blessed are they who accept the awkwardness of growth, for they are aware of the choice
between marred furnishings and damaged personalities.

Blessed are the teachable, for knowledge brings understanding, and understanding brings love.

Blessed are the men and women who in the midst of the unpromising mundane, give love, for
they bestow the greatest of all gifts to each other, to their children, and -- in an ever-widening
circle -- to their fellow men.

Blessed are those who read these words...but more blessed will be they who follow them!

You Are Not A Nobody
by Chuck Swindoll

  1. Who taught Martin Luther his theology and inspired his translation of the New Testament?
  2. Who visited Dwight L. Moody at a shoe store and spoke to him about Christ?
  3. Who was the wife of Charles Haddon Spurgeon?
  4. Who was the elderly woman who prayed faithfully for Billy Graham for over twenty years?
  5. Who financed William Carey’s ministry in India?
  6. Who refreshed the apostle Paul in a Roman dungeon as he wrote his last letter to Timothy?
  7. Who helped Charles Wesley get underway as a composer of hymns?
  8. Who found the Dead Sea Scrolls?
  9. Who followed Hudson Taylor and gave the China Inland Mission its remarkable direction?
10. Who were the parents of the godly and gifted prophet Daniel?

Okay, how did you do? Over fifty percent? Maybe twenty-five percent? Not quite that good? Before you excuse
your inability to answer the questions by calling the quiz “trivia,” better stop and think. Had it not been for those
unknown people – those “nobodies” – a huge chunk of church history would be missing, and a lot of lives would
have been untouched.

Nobodies.

What a necessary band of men and women... servants of the King... yet nameless in the kingdom! Men and
women who, with silent heroism, yet faithful diligence, relinquish the limelight and live in the shade of public
figures. What was it Jim Elliot, the martyred messenger of the gospel to the Aucas, once called missionaries?
Something like a bunch of nobodies trying to exalt Somebody.

But don’t mistake anonymous for unnecessary. Otherwise, the whole Body gets crippled – even paralyzed...
or, at best, terribly dizzy as the majority of the members within the Body become diseased with self-pity and
discouragement. Face it, friend, the Head of the Body calls the shots. It is His prerogative to publicize some
and hide others. Don’t ask me why He chooses whom He uses. If it’s His desire to use you as a Melanchthon
rather than a Luther... or a Kimball rather than a Moody... or an Onesiphorus rather than a Paul, relax!

Better than that, give God praise! You’re among that elite group mentioned in I Corinthians 12 as: ...some of
the parts that seemed weakest and least important are really the most necessary... So God has put the body
together in such a way that extra honor and care are given to those parts that might otherwise seem less
important (vv. 22,24, TLB).

If it weren’t for the heroic “nobodies,” we wouldn’t have top-notch officers to give a church its leadership or
quality sound when everyone shows up to worship or janitors who clean when everyone is long gone or
committees to provide dozens of services behind the scenes or mission volunteers who staff offices at home
or work in obscurity overseas with only a handful of people. Come to think of it, if it weren’t for the faithful
“nobodies,” you wouldn’t even have this [paper] in your hands right now.

Nobodies... exalting Somebody.

Are you one? Listen to me! It’s the “nobodies” Somebody chooses so carefully. And when He has selected you
for that role, He does not consider you a nobody. Be encouraged!
